Perennial beds are an easy way to add color to the garden.  Once they have been establish, they require less maintenance than lawncare.  They can be planned to have early, mid, and late season color as well as winter interest.  Believe it or not, you don't have to have and keep a green thumb to have a pretty perennial landscape bed.
